Habitat 

 Rays live in open waters of tropical areas. Usually located in the shallow waters of the Western Atlantic Ocean 

Diet

They eat Soft shelled clams (sometimes hard shelled), oysters, snails, and lobsters. They find the sea creatures by foraging through sand.

Size 

3.8 feet is the common size but they can range up to 7 feet I length 

Relatives 

 Stingrays are related to, Cow nose rays, Manta Rays, Spotted Eagle Rays, blue spotted rays, electric rays, and southern rays. They are apart of the Rhinopteridae family.

Endangerment 

Near Threatened with Extinction
